How many of my fellow Hunters have gotten or will get new boots or a vest? Just something to help you? Tell us about it, it may ring our bell and we'll get it too......Bob

Nothing this year but I bought my first Danner hunting boots last year as well as a Cabela 8 n 1 Upland hunting coat.  Both are extremely good buys in my opinion.  The Danners were worn brand new on a MI Grouse trip in very wet conditions for a week and really came through.  The Cabela coat/vest has great zippers and is very easy to convert to suit the conditions.  We go from hot to cold real quick here in SE Indiana.

I'm on my 3rd season with a pair of Danners. They aren't waterproof anymore, but they're too comfortable to get rid of. I'm really hard on boots/shoes and these have lasted me the longest of any pair I've ever owned.

It is a regular full CABELA'S Field vest. I got it out of the bargain shop. It is just like my Remington Vest. Big front pockets lots of Orange on it and all that good stuff. This is not a strap vest which I have a few of also......Bob

I really checked that new vest today. That thing is really elaborate. It has zipper pocket over the shells pocket a zipper pocket inside and an open pocket inside. I have never seen so pockets. A lot more Orange than I remembered. Really a nice vest for what I paid for it. It was so cheap I paid for it with bonus points. I had some help from my son he bought a new gun......Bob

Sounds great. I'm saving my points up for something big. I don't know what yet, but I'm holding onto them.

Did Sportsmans Warehouse go out of biz? I know they closed the 2 locations in Wisconsin.

The Sportmans here was bought by somebody else. They sold out all the existing stock and then started over with own stuff. I have not been in the store since it changed hands......Bob

How ironic. I just got an email from them because I was on their list. The closest store is now in a suburb of Des Moines, Iowa. The email said how they are now coming out of bankruptcy with a whole bunch of marketing stuff after that. I wish them luck but doubt I'll be in any of their stores any time soon since they are so far away.
