Hello,

I am new to this board so I thought I would introduce myself.

I am recently retired and pursuing my passion of upland hunting as well as raising and training German Shorthaired Pointers. I also do some freelance outdoor writing. I plan to make my first trip to Kansas in December for some upland hunting, concentrating on pheasants. I will probably hunt public land in the area of Hays. I am probably going to look for a motel in that general area if anyone has any suggestions of places to stay or general areas to hunt on public land it would be appreciated.

Shotgun Kennel: How did the Hays, KS area work out for you? If you get the chance this year I would recommend North Central KS.
