Breeding german short hair pointer

    I am looking to use my GSP for breeding. I am trying to get two pups out of him for my two boys. He is very well mannered, and great with kids. He's a show off in the field, but gets along great with other dogs. All the females I have found are fixed or to old to breed. He has the larger squared off jaw, and wide chest. I've had him for 9 years now and can't picture our family with out him. I am located 6 miles out of Gettysburg Pa. I have all his paper work to show that he is registered and has all his shots. He came from Milford Pa. I have pictures also.   Thanks Dave.

    Just as a note and I'm not telling you your business but most big time guys don't like to breed older dogs or to older dogs. But I do it with my old lab and he throws awesome pups never bred him till he was 7 and now he's almost 11. Good luck with your venture.

    I have never entered him into any field trials. His parents were both field trial champs along with others in his bloodline. I didn't buy him to compete. I wanted a family dog who was an awsome hunter..... that's exactly what I got. I was never one to want a pointer just because they were cute in the pet shop window. I've always hunted over my dogs. If I just wanted a pointer I would by one from a puppy mill. If worse comes to worse I'll by two more. It's just.... I'd like to be able to keep a little of his blood going. Maybe I'm being stupid. My two boys love this dog dearly. The two pups are going to be for them. They are 10 and 14. They don't leave the house with out him. They play all over the side of our mountain with him,and when they ride 4 wheelers he lays and watches till there done. He may be 9... but he acts, like he's 4 or5. Don't worry Hillbilly, I didn't take it as you telling me my business. I know he's getting up there. That's why I want to get this done now.
