If you are a hunter from Nevada or someone who frequently hunts there, this is the place for you.  You can share information about hunting throughout the state or talk about anything you'd like.  Introduce yourself and get to know more about hunting in the great state of Nevada. So, welcome and enjoy!

Anybody in Nevada out there? I am looking for a place to go duck hunting. I live in Vegas, so I know it is gonna take some driving. Any suggestions or ideas?

I have heard that Red Hills In Gardenville (South of Reno) has some duck hunting: http://tiny.cc/np6xH

I'm not sure how far that is from Vegas.

I visit Vegas at least a couple times a year and always wondered what type of upland hunting opportunities existed in the area. Any suggestions for a day hunt out of Vegas? Knowing Vegas, I'm sure anything is available for a price but I'm not a high roller, just an average guy.

Welcome to the forum by the way!

Thanks for the duck tip. I will check it out. I have heard rumors that there are Chukar around here, but am yet to run across them. I know there are quail and dove opportunities at various spots around the valley, but having just moved back to Vegas from Utah, most the spots I knew of are now parks or homes. There are some chances to hunt out by Lake Mead and along the River as well. I will see what I can find online.

Hey guys, new to the forum. I was born and raised in Vegas and have always had a hard time finding birds. I havent duck hunted a lot but I know sunnyside is pretty good for duck. i heard quail was ok there too. I think ill try it this year. I would just like some input on some spots for quail. Im training a GSP, and would like to put him on some birds. Dont really know what ill do for opening day but some birds would be nice. Any ideas?
