Had my 7 month old pup on his first outting earlier this week.  After no luck with pheasant and a short break for lunch, we took to the quail fields and little Gunner did well.  Here's his first bird and his fields:

Nice looking dog, very nice. I once had a dog named Gunnar. When you spell that name with an "A" instead of an "E". I have been told. It means in the Danish language."He who hunts with a gun." I have always like that so, I always spelled it with an A........Bob

Good looking pup BigRooster, glad to here he likes to quail hunt. I had my 10 month old pointing lab out this weekend and he did great on quail, not many pheasants for him to find.

Nice looking hound, its my pups first year out, I have a working English Cocker Spaniel.
We are out tomorrow for a bit of picking up, and then some beating on Wednesday....Fingers crossed the training stays with him!

Best of luck with the PUP, you know what they say, "Takes 3 years to get a good working dog and only 3 minutes to ruin it"
    HAVE FUN!
