    This weekend will be my first time to go pheasant hunting at a friend's ranch.  I want to know if I can use my coach gun (20") to shoot down pheasants or do I need to use a full lenght barrel shotgun (30")? Both do not have any chokes.  Thanks for the help.

    FYI - Since I do Cowboy Action Shooting I will be using BP loads for this hunt (1-1/8 oz, #6, 65gr.).

    Your load sounds good, but I'm not sure I would go with the 20" barrel.
