If you are a hunter from Wisconsin or someone who frequently hunts there, this is the place for you. You can share information about hunting throughout the state or talk about anything you'd like. Introduce yourself and get to know more about hunting in the great state of Wisconsin. So, welcome and enjoy! |

I live in Racine County. I hunt all of the public lands from the IL boarder to Phillips. I've hunted Iowa, SD, ND and SW Missouri. I have done a few corporate hunts at Dark Acres, Millford Hills and Mecan River Lodge. I would enjoy getting together with fellow posters for a hunt. We hunt Grouse, Quail, Woodcocks, and Pheasants. |

Bert, where's Dark Acres? I've heard of the others, but not this one.

I found this place by accident while driving back from a Milford hunt. It's just 10 minutes north of Whitewater on HWY N W5140 Gillis Road Fort Atkinson, WI 53538 Kathy and Dan are great people. No membership needed and lively birds on 600 + acres. |

Hey Bert Welcome to the site. In the past few years many of the Wisconsin and Illinois members have gotten together for a hunt. I would love to plan something for this year as well. Once the season gets closer I'll throw out a few dates to everyone. Stay tuned. |

I'm looking forward to the hunt. I looked at the pictures from previous years and it looks like fun. |

Bert, you're way off base mister. We don't have fun, we have a lot of fun. The hunting is great, the people are top notch and the food is worth the trip by itself. I hope we can pull it off this year. It takes a great deal of work on Jon's part to make it happen. We are also fortunate enough to have some members on the site that give tremendously to the cause with little to no thanks. |

Porknbeans, I'm glad to hear that this isn't a fair weathered laid back group. I'm ready for allot of FUN. If there is some way that I can be of any help just let me know. |

I agree that we're due for another outting. Also gives PnB a chance to clean out his freezer. Just put enough BBQ sauce on it and somebody will eat it. On a similar note, there are a couple sportingclay places down that way I wouldn't mind checking out also. |

That is a great idea BD! I'd be up for a get together at Gehrigs if anyone is interested. How about a casual get together on September 6th at 10am?

I can make that date and will pencil it in. Have you ever been there or know their scheduled hours of operation? Would be nice to put a group together. |

They have open shooting on Sunday mornings. It is a nice place and set-up. Gamebird is the one that let me know about it. I've been there probably 10 times. I'll bring my son along and maybe a friend for him. I think a group outing would be wonderful. If anyone is interested, sound off and I can get something arranged and sent out to everyone.

This is just clay bird shooting, correct?
Or are we going to do field training with the dogs also? |

I just checked my calender. Sept 6th is on Labor Day weekend. That's OK by me, I wasn't going anywhere anyway, but how about the rest of you? |

I'll have my Dad along, and possibly another guy or 2, so we'll pass on the live birds. We will be looking for a place to stop for breakfast down there someplace if anyone wants to join us. Last time we had a nice meal at a place on the north side of Edgertton but can't remember the name of it. Andy, maybe you know the place I'm talking about or can suggest one. The place we're shooting at has link at http://www.wi-sportingclays.org/Clu...0Farms.htm I've never been there but doubt PnB would lead us astray. |
