I would love to help a troop out!! We actually take people hunting at our family farm in SE South Dakota...around 2000+ acres of prime (wild!) pheasant hunting! We guide hunters throughout the season and it's a very good possibility that you could join up with some of our hunters. We breed and train Labs so Im happy to hear that you have one! You are more than welcome to bring your dogs and kids (just wondering how old they are?) if you want. My husband is an avid hunter: fishing, bow hunting, rifle hunting and pretty much anything you can imagine so a fishing trip would probably thrill him! Plus, i would love to go on a fishing trip and get out of town for awhile! Hope to hear back from you soon!

That sounds so awesome! I returned home at the end of January safe and sound and am now back at my civilian job. My son is 21 and my daughter is 18. We are in the north central part of the state (Price Co) and yes it is quite tranquil up here if you are looking to get away. Our bass season doesn’t open till June but musky and northern are earlier as are walleye and panfish Any ideas on what you would like to go for? I can get the dates on the seasons if you wish.

I had guard drills this weekend so i was a little late getting back to you. Here are the dates as they are listed on the DNR website. We live in the Ceded territory so the walleye season and bag limits are subject to change after the spearing is finished.
