    Pheasants normal flight speed is from 27 to 38 mph when cruising but when chased they can fly up to 60 mph. 

    That explains why I miss so much!

    I may not know how fast they fly, but they seem to run even faster. Usually right out the other end of a field whenever I arrive!

    The fastest shells I use send shot out at 1330 feet per second. I would guess that pheasants fly at 1335 feet per second.

    Now that we have discussed the flying of a Pheasant. I believe they can RUN faster than they can fly. What is your feelings on that?.......Bob
