Hey guys, I know I haven't been on here in a while, how is everyone?

 

I had to come on and tell you all about this new hunting show that is in its first season on the Pursuit Channel, on Direct TV(608).  It is called Average Joes Huntin Show, it's a group of regular guys who film there hunts for trophies but unlike the rest of the shows they are all doing it on a budget.  90% of everyday hunters can't afford to hunt like the guys on TV but now this show proves that even though you don't have and bottomless bank out you can still have hunts of a lifetime.  It is definitely different from the rest of the shows I have seen, I think it's a great concept and is a great show.  If you want you can check out their website to find the show time, that's how I found out about the show, it's www.averagejoeshuntinshow.com .

 

Let me know what you all think, I am curious to know if I was the only one who thought this is a great idea for a new show?

I agree I hunt close to home and in a budget (the one mama has a hold on). Were I work now they do hunting videos and alot of it is sponsored to make money like a big commercial.

I was watching a show last night that was a prime example of how unrealistic the hunting shows are. The guy was doing a radio interview and got word of a huge buck running around Kansas, so he dropped everything and booked a 6 day hunt on the property that the buck was on. Now who can really do something like that, probably no one who is sitting there watching that show like I was? It was an entertaining story but it annoyed me because it's telling people that to have experiences like that you need to have never ending resources, witch 95% of American's don't have. That's the wrong way to look at hunting, every hunt has the potential of being the most exciting day in a stand or walking a field! My most memorable trophy buck is a 95" 8 point whitetail, because of how it happened and the circumstances that surround that hunt. It was my first year of college and playing college football, I only had 1 day free to deer hunt and I shot my first ever 8 point buck. At that point, life couldn't be any better and that's what hunting is all about!
