Deep water gang rigging

    I went hunting in a layout boat and am now thinking about getting into it more. I'm looking for opinions on main line size/ type, as well as clips/snaps  and leader line lenths. The guys we went with hooked the dekes to the main without a leader and it worked fine. Are these 18 - 36" leader lines worth the trouble? Thanks for any input.

    I'm glad to hear you made it back from your human bobber experience. Can you fill us in on any of the details? Did you get wet? How many did you shoot? What did you shoot?

    The guys I hunted with did this footage awhile back for Babe and it shows how these layout boat hunts look. We shot bluebills, buffleheads, goldeneyes, mergansers, redheads, old squaws, and scoters. A truely unbelieveable time laying a foot off the water and having these ducks flying at you eye to eye.

    Update - I was able to get that site to come up just now, for some reason it didn't work for awhile. Check it out if you care to see some nice hunting footage in WI.
