I just got a 835 ulti-mag for ducks and geese. Any feed back on it?

What is the specs, on. Ulti-mag a 12 ga? Barrel length? and so forth A 835 is a Mossberg. I'm an O/U man, I don't know these new fangled guns......Bob

Hillbilly, I've never shot or owned an 835 but people that I know that have had one or still do have favorable things to say about the gun.

I'm not a duck hunter but I am a hard core turkey hunter and in my opinion the 835 is the best turkey gun there is.  The barrel is overbored to the size of a 10 guage barrell and at 26"-28" long it is mean...I'm talkin hard hittin and very nice patterns.  I have a good freind that consistently kills turkeys beyond 50 yards with a 28" barrell, mad maxx x-full choke, and #4 winchester extremes.  I shot one with his gun at 62 yds... only because I knew what the gun was capable of and that bird wasn't coming any closer. (my freind was calling)

I bought a 935 before turkey sesason which is exactly the same but automatic instead of pump action.  I have patterned several different loads in it and am very pleased with the results.  I haven't shot a turkey at 50yds with it yet and I don't imagine I will any time soon cause I call em' in close! 

It's a very tough gun and great buy for the money!
