Almanor French Brittanys - Epagneul Bretons

We have over 35 years experience with breeding, training and hunting American Brittanys. After hearing over and over again the accolades sung of the French Brittany, we decided to add one to our family two years ago. It all started there, and with experience with both the American and the French under our belts, we wouldn't go back.

We now proudly announce our first litter of French Brittanys. We are breeding top of the line dogs with the goal of nurturing the characteristics that are so highly desirable in a gun dog as well as a wonderful family member. These are exquisite pups. Both the dam and the sire are intensely driven hunters as well as devoted and affectionate companions in the field and home. Both have earned their "TAN" (natural hunting ability) and have been awarded the highest "EXCELLENT" rating in conformation by French judges.

Our puppies will be registered both AKC and UKC. They are guaranteed against hereditary defects for two years. Both sire and dam have been either OFA or PennHip certified. Puppies will be vaccinated and have their dew claws removed and tails docked. We socialize our puppies from day one. They are accustomed to children and other adult dogs. We will introduce them to water, wings and birds early on to build the foundation for a strong hunting career. Our goal is to provide you with the best dog you've ever hunted behind as well as a devoted and loyal companion in your home.

The dam, Eclair de Broughton, hails from a line descended directly from France. She was sired by Bako de Keranlouan. Eclair is a beautiful standard of the breed, who elicits compliments on her looks and abilities wherever she goes, and has proven herself on quail, pheasant, partridge and grouse and is a jackrabbit on the high desert rocks hunting chukar. Clair, at two years old, has pointed and retrived over 250 wild birds. She took second in her class at the Montana nationals last fall. Her French judge in the TAN test, ran after her in the field with his hands thrown in the air, two thumbs up, shouting "superb"!

Titus Des Plaines Dauxeenes, the sire, has established a sterling reputation during his career at a working South Dakota game bird hunting lodge. Titus was sired by "Ray", a dog known throughout France, and distinguished by his claim to the 2006 Euro Cup Championship, recommended Trialer and the Top Winning Dog in France in 2005.

The puppies will be ready to go to their new homes over the 4th of July. Please don't hesitate to call Jeff for an answer to any questions you may have, for further information on the puppies or the Epagneul Breton breed, or just to talk hunting!

Reservations, accompanied by your deposit, will be accepted on a first come-first served basis. Call 530 259-2122. Visit us on Facebk for more pictures!
