Spring turkey hunting is almost here! It has got to be one of the most exciting times of year with spring on its' way and turkey hunting right around the corner. My question for everyone is what is your favorite and most effective way to turkey hunt? The seemingly traditional, sit in a blind, call all day and let the birds come to you, or the more fast paced, physically challenging run-n-gun hunting? Now, I know there's a time and place for each style of hunting depending on time of season and time of day, but what I want to know is when it comes down to both sides being equal, which type do you prefer and why? Let's hear some stories and some techniques we can all use in the upcoming season!! Oh, and good luck this spring everyone!

honestly i would definitely prefer run and gun but with the amount of hunting pressure on long island it would be impossible

I like the sit and wait, I use a call and it is really fun that way. Problem is the ground is getting to me and I may have to quit soon......Bob

There are a lot of strategies that must be used in order to caught turkey. This kind of turkey hunting which seems to be effective is either with the two, sit-n-wait and run-n-gun. But the most probably I think is more effective is the run-n-gun.

I usually have the best success sitting and waiting while calling.
