Moses black lab pup 9mo. old had his first intro to pheasants today, my daughter brought the pup up to Ohio from Ga. for a long weekend of puppy training and we have been having a blast!!!Got several birds from a friend and first one clipped wings and let Moses chase catch and retrieve. Moses has a lot of bird in him! Lots of high hopes getting ready for S.D. hunt in Nov.

One more weekend and puppy training with Moses, shot first bird over him Sat. great mark and retreive!! clipped wings on other birds so that Moses could trail, track, and retieve another very good job done by the pup. Then went to the pond so he could cool off and guys were there dove hunting, no birds were shot for him to retreive, but he sure did watch as birds flew past and would get excited when the fellows would get guns ready to shot, remember this pup has never had birds shot over him except for the first pheasnat that morning. Daughter is headed back to Ga. in the morning will sure miss working with Moses for next couple of weeks(life on the road in Oh.,In., Il.) Nov. and S.D. can't get here soon enough!!!

Thanks for sharing.  Im having a ball with my English Cocker pup 14 months now.  She is retreving doves and geese like a pro.  She really struggles with the geese up out of the water since she only weighs 30 #.   She made 60 yard retreive today.  I couldnt be more proud.  We are leaving for the Upper Pen of MI this Sat for two weeks on grouse.  Cant wait.
