Hey there, my name is Rich, I have been looking for a forum like this for sometime now and found it. I live in Moses lake Washington and just started upland bird hunting 3 years ago, enjoy the sport alot! this is also my 10 year old sons first year hunting. Its alot of fun watching him and our dogs work. Maddie is our main dog we use, she is a high powered yellow female that is non stop. Joining us this year is her duaghter Hanna, she is also yellow and crazy. Maddie is from Mallard Lake kennels in Lake Stevens wa. wanted to give them a plug for such a good dog. Hope I dont annoy to much, cuz I will have many questions!

Welcome to the forum Rich, I too live in Washington and it is nice to see you here. Do you hunt other game or just upland birds? Me, I am a strictly upland person. What gauge and make gun do you shoot? You said ask questions, so I gave you a few......Bob

I started hunting duck last year, have had some luck. My yellow lab Maddie has a very tough time sitting still in a blind, I kinda do too. I was using my remmington 870 express 12 gauge, but now i am using a remmington 1187 12 gauge. a buddy I hunted with quit because of bad knees so he made me a very good deal!

Great information. Thank you for filling us in. I shoot an 11-87 also but in the 20 gauge. I should say it gets about 1 trip a year, if that. I always grab my trusty O/U's first.

Rich and pullit, welcome to the forum. It is great to have both of you on board. I look forward to hearing/learning what both of you add to the forum.
