I have a hunt scheduled for 10/23 thru ? for myself and a buddy. We are from S. IL. We are planing to hunt in the area around Kenmare up in the N.W. corner of the state but we can be flexable. I have been going hunting in ND since the 80's so I know the area pretty well. We are both 51, not dead yet but we don't walk like we used to.
Drop me a line if your interested. I will be bring two of my Small Munsterlanders to hunt with.
My email is wolfx2@hotmail.com

Hello,
I am from central Illinois and have been going to ND since the 80's abd still plan to however I would love to find someone I could hunt with out in KS. I have never been out there so I don't have a clue where to go. I see alot of public (Plots) land but not sure how it is to hunt.
I raise Small Munsterlanders and would bring one or two with me to hunt with
If you would like to show an old 51 guy the ropes drop me a line

I am from southeast Iowa and the bird numbers have dropped once again this year. But I was told that north of interstate 80 in northeast Iowa has a lot of birds do not no if it is true or not though I have not been up ther for a couple of months. |

Freek, welcome to the forum. The Iowa DNR's Roadside report is depressing to read. I hope you can find good fortune when you get to the NE corner. I'll be in the NW corner in a couple of weeks and then in the CR area to finish out the season.

What a 2 week span. My trip to North Dakota yielded 18 pheasants, 1 sharp tail grouse, a run in with a porcupine and a skunk. Absolutely wonderful weather and super land to hunt. It was an amazing time and I got to spend it all with my son. I wasn't expecting much from my trip to Iowa, but I was very pleasantly surprised. 24 pheasants and a side trip for Bobwhite Quail (bagged 11 after 2 boxes of shells). My dog was amazing until the last run of the first day of my Iowa trip. She stepped on something and it went alomst through her foot between the pads. It swelled up to the size of a small apple. A trip to the vet, some meds, a soak in some epsom salt and the rest of the trip off and she's back to normal. I broiled some birds last night after marinating in teriyaki garlic sauce. Yum!

I've got a co-worker that is thinking about heading to Kansas for phez. The out of state license fees are reasonable and it looks like numbers are exceptionally good.

That second shot is beautiful. I love the lone tree in the pic. I haven't been able to get out lately so I'm living my hunting dreams through your pics. Keep them coming. I've got 2 preserve hunts for later this month but that's about it. I might try to sneak out this Saturday but with the flu and really bad colds running through our house I'm not sure what the immediate future holds right now.

im 15. dont have a car or a driving licesne but i would die for a pheasent hunt. Here in Gilbertsville where i hunt we dont have pheasents. ive seen 2 pheasents in my entire life here but let them fly becasue i want them to make a comeback around here. I mostly grouse hunt though. But from what i see on TV grouse is nothing compared to the thrill of hunting pheasents. North Dakota is pheasent hunters dream i have been told. Would love to save up the Money to get a guided trip with dogs and all. |

Jordan welcome to the forum. I'm curious to know about where you're at and the type of grouse you hunt too.
