Did anyone get out over Thanksgiving?  Does anyone plan to get out over Christmas or New Years?

My son and I hit a game farm over Turkey day.  We put out 8 birds, saw 10, shot 8 and lost 2.

To this day I'm absolutely at a loss as to how you can lose a bird when you believe you shot it stone dead, marked where it landed and have a dog.  I guess hawks have to eat too.

We're planning on going out a couple of times again when he is off  between Christmas and New Years.

Don't that chap yer hide?..    I always blame the dogs, and NOT my shooting

I have some friends that have a 'family' hunt planned for around Xmas at the farm. I usually get wrangled into bringing my hounds out to run around 'n help 'em.

these girls are part of the group.
