Chris, has the female half given you, "But honey you can only use one gun at a time, yet?" Then you know you have reached the limit in her eyes.......Bob

Chris, what gauges are your Parkers? I've got Volumes I & II of The Parker Story if you need any info on your guns. You can even request a historical letter from the Parker Gun Collector's Assn that will be of interest to you. My 16 gauge, GH Grade is #1,587 of  2,784 guns made in 1918 by Parker Bros.

Chris you should get into the 28 gauge. It is a fun little gun that will kill what ever bird you want it too. I will say this reloading is the only way to go on the 28. The ammo is costly and that stops a lot of hunter from buying them......Bob

28's are awesome but Bob is right if you don't reload for it it won't be worth it. I'm shooting a Browning Citori Super Lightning this season in 20ga. I'll be trying it out tomorrow on some Ruffs and Blues.

I use 28 ga almost exclusively. Don't reload, get AA trap loads at Walmart for just under $10 / box. They work on quail, pheasant, grouse and dove. Waterfowl is the only thing the 12 comes out for unless I use Dads old double for the memories once in awhile.

A few years ago I bought 2 flats of 28 gauge at 6.99 a box. Winchester AA 1300FPS Target Loads. I now have 500 cases that I want for reloading. Man am I happy I did that.......Bob

Looked at at a CZ Ringneck (S x S) in 28 gauge today and was very tempted, but ddn't bite. ($950 including 4 boxes of shells).

If you've stockpiled your shotshells, do you keep them stored in a special area where you can control the climate/temp? An old trapshooter told me that extreme temp changes can have a negative effect on shells if the are stored for long periods of time. I may need to "Snopes" that.

Bob, chances are, we won't see the return of $6.99 a box Win AA's, even at Wally World!

keep it dry and cool.  I have shells that I have used that are 15 years old and worked fine on clay pigeons.

I have room I use for reloading in my basement. My guns are kept in a friends Vault. Anyway, it is dark and coll most all the time I have never had a problem with my cases. The old paper ones could pick up moisture. But the plastics here in this desert climate are good all the time........Bob

Bob I threw away 3 case's of hulls win aa 28's a couple months ago. If I would have known I would have sent them your way. TB I heard that Estates are sensitive to the cold. But I store all my shells in my shop.

Ahh, Hillbilly, 28 gauge hulls are most sought after (insert "drooled over" here) by most smokepole reloaders, even if they don't shoot that particular gauge. The going rate is .15 per once fired hull, which equates to $3.75 per box (of 25 shells), which equates to $37.50 per case (250 shells in a case), which equates to $112.50 that you threw out into the garbage!!!

You better believe it. I will take all the 28 AA hulls you care to toss my way. Winchesters are the best 28 gauge hull to reload. The rest are only good for a few times.........Bob

Chris, I love your approach to guns. If you can't shoot them what really is the pleasure in having them. I'd love to hear/see more about them if you're willing to tell us more about them.
