National Bird Dog Challenge Association- NBDCA Bird Dog Field Trials
The National Bird Dog Challenge Association was founded for the sole purpose of bringing together men, women and children who share a mutual love for bird dogs, upland game bird hunting and the preservation of the sport.
With this in mind the NBDCA has designed a series of challenges that will test both you and your dog.
The NBDCA format offers competition for both pointing and flushing dogs. An Open division challenge consists of one or two hunter(s) and one dog. Competition consists of two twenty minute runs with hunter(s) working to bag a predetermined quota of birds.
Each competitor has twice as many shells as birds planted.
Open division participants compete for cash prizes, trophies and Championship points for their dog. Qualifying scores lead to possible entry in State, Regional and National Challenges.
The Amateur division consist of one twenty minute run. Amateurs compete for qualifying points, trophies and Championship points.
