Looking for Maine Pheasant Hunting? GameBirdHunts is your directory for pheasant hunting Maine

Maine is about 320 miles long and 210 miles wide, with a land area of over 33,000 square miles - roughly the land area of all the other five New England states combined.  Nearly 17 million acres of forestland is dotted by more than 6,000 lakes and ponds and 32,000 miles of rivers and streams, and has nearly 3,500 miles of coastline, and over 2,000 islands. Each November, Maine hunters tag more than 600 whitetail bucks that tip the scales above the trophy 200-pound mark.

Bear hunting in Maine is the best in the East. The state offers a fall moose hunting season unmatched in hunter success anywhere in the nation, as well as world-class hunting for wild turkey, ruffed grouse, pheasant, upland game and waterfowl. Commercial shooting areas are licensed by the State of Maine and allow the hunting of mallard ducks, pheasant, quail and Chukar partridge only. Hunting is allowed from January 1st through December 31st, including Sundays.
