About Big Horn Outfitters
Big Horn Outfitters is a licensed and insured professional big game outfitting service owned and operated by Dan Adair, Daniel Nicolds and Don Terhune. We specialize in providing the highest quality hunts possible. We offer New Mexico Elk, Mule Deer, as well as South Central Kansas Whitetail Deer hunts.
Big Horn Outfitters is located in the middle of the Gila and Apache National Forests. The units in which we guide are known to have a high population of trophy class bulls and some of the best elk hunting in a state that is rapidly becoming recognized as one of the top elk hunting areas in the nation. We conduct hunts on both private and public lands that have been managed for a high population of trophy class animals. All our hunts are conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the New Mexico/Kansas Game and Fish Commissions.
Our services include New Mexico/Kansas application service, landowner tag/voucher service, full service guide, lodging and three home-cooked meals a day. Our full guide services includes scouting, calling and game handling.
Though your hunt with Big Horn Outfitters begins the day you arrive in camp, our work for you does not; we spend months before the season starts, scouting and tracking game and continue to monitor their movements throughout the season.

The Heart of Big Horn Outfitters
Dan Adair Grew up in Luna, New Mexico and has hunted and trapped in this area for most of his life. Daniel Nicolds has hunted elk and deer in this area for the past 14 years. Prior to starting Big Horn Outfitters, both Dan and Daniel had been successful and well liked guides in this area and other areas of the state for many years.
To insure the highest quality hunts we hire guides who are professional, knowledgeable and skilled hunters. We pride ourselves on our staff being personable, honest and hard working. We at Big Horn Outfitters are committed to doing all we can to make your hunt safe, enjoyable and successful.
