We've got North Dakota pheasant hunting! GameBirdHunts is your directory for North Dakota hunting preserves:
Pheasant Hunting Opportunties exist throughout North Dakota however, some of the best pheasant hunting is found in the SW part of North Dakota. Sharptail grouse hunting is common in the central, west central part of the state. ND has a lot of open land and plenty of opportunities for the hunter who is willing to work. Ruffed grouse hunting is normally only found in the extreme northern part of North Dakota. The Lewis and Clark Expedition spent more time in North Dakota than any other state.
The explorers were enchanted by this area. Lewis wrote in his journal on May 5, 1805, "The country is as yesterday, beautiful in the extreme." They saw more game enroute from their winter camp at Fort Mandan to where the Yellowstone enters the Missouri River than anywhere else on their journey.
