Dark Acres Pheasant Hunts privately owned at the end of Gillis Road off of Highway N in Jefferson County. We are located just north of Cold Spring between Whitewater & Fort Atkinson. Look for our sign next to the Creamery Park Wayside. Our Hunting areas consist of prairie grasses & wildlife food plots, set apart by natural barriers and (water) ditches. These areas are located on various parts of 626 acres with varying terrain, which creates a great environment for game bird hunting. We also have a fenced area for controlled hunting & dog training. There is a minimum of 12 guns and a maximum of 28 guns for the Tower Hunts. Our accommodations include two game rooms (5’ TV, pool table, darts, snacks, microwave). Hunters are to remain in their station during each release round. Hunters rotate after each release round has ended (tower signals each round end) Birds are left in stations when hunters rotate; to be picked up after the tower shoot has been completed. Stations are 50 feet lower than the tower and 125 yards away from tower and Stations are 55 yards apart.
