Growing up on a farm in Middleburg, Virginia, Jane came to an understanding of the relationship between humans and animals. An endless array of animals...from bottle fed lambs in the laundry room to Border Collies, Chesapeakes, Bull Mastiffs and endless Fox hound puppies... to three brothers and a sister, all were part of the Kelso farm life.Jane acquired a basic respect for animals and found that similar rules apply to people: give and take, not making assumptions, and not judging others.
