The Beginning Of The Pheasant Hunting Directory
As a avid hunter and owner of a website development company I was frustrated by the lack of information on places to hunt upland birds on the internet. So I got to thinking what if I built a site that listed all the places to hunt pheasants and upland birds in North America? It sounded like a simple idea at first but I quickly discovered that there wasn't a good source of up to date information for out there that listed all the hunting clubs by state. It was soon apparent that this was to be much more that just a hobby or simple project.
Due to my intriest in hunting and the hunting industry in general my company had already developed quite a few outdoor and hunting related sites inducing the site for Macfarlane Pheasants (The industry leader in pheasant production) so I approached Bill MacFarlane with my idea and he was excited about it. In fact he decided to partner up on the project and www.gamebirdhunts.com was born.
The mission of gamebirdhunts.com today remains the same as it was at our start over 7 years ago:
To provide reliable and well organized information to the upland hunter on places to hunt.
To provide the upland hunter with information and legislation that affects the sport.
To allow hunts to connect and share ideas related to upland hunting topics.
The Future of Gamebirdhunts.com:
In 2009 we released a whole new gamebirdhunts.com to the world. The new site features a online community for hunters that allows hunters to meet, chat, form groups and more. A social network just for hunting and shooting nuts. As the site moves forward look for more articles about pheasant hunting, more users interaction and feedback and more marketing support for hunt clubs and sporting clays courses.
