A story about a
Nebraska couple that moved to South Dakota caught attention this past week.
The story -
Pickerel Lake Woman Has Taste for The Hunt - talks about Teresa Bair and her husband. The pair moved to South Dakota not long ago and they seem to love all that the state has to offer including the hunting and fishing.
“We are living our dream,” she said. “There is much more to do year-round up here than in Nebraska.”
The couple has enjoyed the fishing and the hunting. Teresa has been out pheasant hunting in here new state with her husband, but she’s stuck with photography until now. She wants to learn how to hunt from someone other than her husband so she can hold her own and not hold him back.
That’s an interesting perspective coming from someone that is just getting into hunting. As hunters, we all want to see more men, women and kids get involved in the sport. The more people out there in the field chasing down those pheasants the better it will be for everyone.
Does your wife or significant other enjoy the outdoors. Taking them out along on a pheasant hunt is a great way to spend time together. You can both enjoy the great outdoors in
South Dakota while getting some exercise. If you have a family dog maybe you can train it to chase those pheasants and together you can all really feel the excitement when the dog gets on a bird.
As you know, hunting is about more than just the shot and the kill. Hunting is about enjoying nature and spending time with the ones you care about most. It’s great to see this couple enjoying themselves in a great state like South Dakota. They are a model for everyone else looking to enjoy life in the outdoors.
They also prove that South Dakota is a great place to settle down for some great hunting and fishing.
