CINCINNATI - The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife in conjunction with the Clinton-Highland Chapter of Pheasants Forever is holding an annual youth pheasant hunt at Fallsville Wildlife Area complete with experienced guides and hunting dogs. The event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday October 28 and 29, 2006.
"There are several experienced guides that will lead a group of three to four youth hunters through the field," said Ron Adams, Fallsville Wildlife Area manager. "This is a great chance to enjoy a unique hunting opportunity and to gain valuable hunting experience."
Youth hunters must pre-register by calling Marsha Hatfield at 937-981-2835. Youth that have pre-registered will be contacted prior to the hunt by a Pheasants Forever representative regarding the exact time and location for the pheasant hunt.
Youth hunters must have successfully completed the ODNR Division of Wildlife's Hunter Safety course prior to hunt date. All youth must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult. Participants are required to wear hunter orange. Pheasants will be released on the wildlife area for this event.
