Hunting for quail in Texas has been difficult in recent years. The population of the birds has dropped significantly since the ‘60s and ‘70s. An entire generation of quail hunters that grew up hunting the birds every year have all but disappeared and have been unable to pass on the tradition to their children and grandchildren.
