The first sporting clay course was designed in 1992, and Claythorne has steadily grown into a resort that can easily accommodate over one thousand shooters. We have a kennel of excellent field dogs; however, if you wish to do so, you can use your own dog! Hunting dates run from mid-September through March each year. A Kansas hunting license or a Kansas preserve license is required and can be purchased at our office. The State of Kansas requires all persons born after July 1, 1957 to have a Hunter Safety Card. The main Lodge has three guest-rooms elegantly furnished with antiques and designer prints. We are open for normal business Wednesday through Sunday with business hours from 9:00 a.m. until sundown.
