Hunters: big game, small game, and waterfowl are plentiful in the immediate area, as well as on the ranch. Fall hunting has both upland game such as partridge, waterfowl, ducks, geese and big game hunting. The latter includes Whitetail and Mule Deer, Elk, Moose, Black Bear and farther North includes Grizzly bear, and Caribou. I will only mention that the limits are quite liberal. The waterfowl season starts about September 15 and usually ends the mid-January. Large Black Bears find their way to the pastures in the spring and are available to be hunted. Both Whitetail and Mule Deer of trophy quality are available in the fall for hunting with bow and arrow within a five minute walk from your bedroom door. A guide is necessary for non-resident hunters of big game. None is required for small game or waterfowl hunting. Only a small charge for a hunting license is needed.
