Tiny Marsh is open to the public. They have 2,300 acres of which approximately 1,400 is wetland which is open for hunting ducks and geese. There is also 550 acres of mixed bush and fields for pheasant hunting. This area contains fence rows which are on either side of the marsh. The pheasant hunt is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We shut down from 12 to 1 for lunch and to restock the fields if necessary. A daily license costs $27 for a 2 bird limit, either sex, with no reservations necessary. A maximum of 30 hunters is allowed at any one time. From Monday to Friday your group can reserve 1/2 of the hunting area. The cost is $80 per person for a 5 bird limit each and 5 birds stocked each.
From Toronto take the 400 to Barrie, hwy 27N through Elmvale, turn left on county road 6 and left again on the Tiny/Flos town line. Go past the wildlife centre 1/2 mile and stop at the green and white trailer on your right for your permit. Please be there before 9 a.m. to allow for stocking the correct number of birds. The pheasants are stocked every day. We expect to release 1200+ birds this season.
