DK Wildlife Ranch is managed and operated by a professional Habitat Biologist, Geo. Dern and his wife Jo Dern. They do not ranch nor do they farm -- managed 100% for wildlife and pheasant in particular. They offer a hunters clay course as an option for fun and warm up -- cool down. Shots simulate what you may find during your hunt. They have all Roosters and all of their hunters enjoy exclusive private hunts. DK Wildlife encourages their hunters to use their own dogs but have several excellent pointers (Griffon and Pudelpointers) and their handlers if you wish to use them.

| We are clay target specialists offering the best in Sporting Clays, Skeet, Trap and 5-Stand. Mitchell's Clay Target Sports is affiliated with both the NSCA and NSSA and holds registered sporting clays and skeet tournaments throughout the year. Most Sundays during the off-season are fun shoot days. Dan organizes fun games for all shooters. The sporting clays course is generally set up as a 14 station course and is now over a mile and a half long. The course was expanded again this year and most stands now have shelters from the rain, wind and hot sun. The terrain is also changing. If you haven't been to the club lately, please come by to check it out! |

experience a variety of hunting terrain and game at the
Shooting Star Ranch, LLC. We offer three hunting preserves
for pheasant and chukar from August 1-March 31, in addition
to the seasonal bird, large game and fishing seasons. The
main ranch borders 2 miles on the John Day River. Our lodge,
which has a wonderful view of the mountains, can easily
accomodate six people. We offer a 5-Stand sporting clays,
using NSCA-approved targets, which is currently open on
Wednesday evenings, Saturdays and by appointment. If you're
not a hunter, come stay with us and enjoy the view of scenery
and wildlife, hike or bring your horses. We're open year
round. |
