| Briarpatch Hunting Preserve is located 10 miles south of Marion, Perry County, on the Blackbelt Prairie in west-central Alabama. Guided quail hunts are given from October 1 to March 31. If you do not have your own dogs do not worry, we will supply dogs and a guide. All of the birds used on the preserve are raised in fight pens of fifty by one hundred and fifty feet. These pens are supplied with plenty of cover to insure that the birds can adapt to the outside environment, making for an excellent flight bird to hunt. |

| White Oak Plantation and Red Oak Plantation have unsurpassed hunting for trophy whitetail deer. White Oak also offers hunts for Eastern wild turkey, bobwhite quail, cotton tail rabbits, red and grey squirrels and crows. Most of the hunts are either a three day package or a four day package which includes all lodging, meals, daily maid service, field transportation, guide service and limited game preparation. Quail Hunting at White Oak is considered a gentleman's sport! Quail hunters begin their hunt later in morning and stop well before the sun goes down. After the dew is off the ground, hunters will load into the quail wagon and proceed to the quail fields. The wagons will hold a maximum of six hunters, although only two hunters will shoot on each covey rise. Experienced dog handlers and good working dogs always provide an exciting day in the field. White Oak's quail fields are managed for maximum native bird production. In addition, pen raised, flight conditioned birds are released on a regular basis. Extra birds will be released immediately before a hunt. |
