Arizona quail hunting- GameBirdHunts.com is your Arizona quail hunt directory of upland game birds including Arizona Quail, Doves and Pheasant. Arizona's small game species include upland game birds (quails, chukar, grouse, and pheasants) cottontail rabbits, tree squirrels, and migratory game birds (ducks, geese, swan, sandhill cranes, coot, gallinule, common snipe, mourning and white-winged doves, and band-tailed pigeon). One or more of these species occur in virtually all vegetation types throughout Arizona, from the highest mountains to the lowest plains; forests, wetlands, and deserts; and farmlands, cities, and wilderness. Arizonans have the privilege of hunting three species of quail—four, if the few California quail found along the Little Colorado River drainage in Apache County are included. These are the Gambel’s quail, scaled quail, and Mearns’ or Montezuma quail. Another quail, formerly found in Arizona, the masked bobwhite, is listed federally as an endangered species. For those wishing to hunt pheasant in Arizona your options are some what limited compared to the midwest states. Pheasants have always been a specialty game bird in Arizona. In any given year and the annual harvest excluding birds taken in game farms has been less than 50 birds. However at the clubs listed below the Pheasant and Quail Hunting is always plentiful.
