Farming 5000 acres, we have plenty of slews, marshes, grasses, corn and Milo fields to make for a good population of cagey Ring Necks. We have several food plots of standing corn and Milo strips left in the fields. We also release hens in the spring and release cocks in the fall on a regular basis. If you come for the hunts, you will be hunting ringneck pheasants on 930 acres of crop and range land. It is approximately 24 miles northeast of Bartlett. Plan to arrive in the afternoon or early evening to relax, look around, or do some trap shooting. A home-cooked dinner will be served that evening. The next morning about 7:30 a.m., a hearty breakfast will be served before you leave on your morning hunt. At noon you will eat lunch at the ranch house. At 1:00 p.m. it's back to the fields for an afternoon of more hunting. At the end of your successful day, depending on which package you choose, you will either pack up to go home, or dinner will again be served with the evening yours to enjoy. The "two night" hunt consists of breakfast the following morning and hunting until noon. The ranch house is furnished with a TV and satellite dish downstairs and a TV and VCR upstairs. Our season runs from September 1 to March 31. Six pheasants are allowed with the cost but any number can be had at an additional charge. A one night stay described above is $350 and the two night hunt is $500. We provide you with a guide and dog although you are welcome to bring your hunting dog if you wish. To confirm reservations, we require an advance non-refundable deposit of $100 per person. Final payment is due at the close of the hunt. |

St. John's Hunting Acres has been in operation since 1996. The availability of pheasants is no problem. We raise the birds early in the spring so they are mature and colorful for your hunting by September 1st. We take out one group a day to hunt so we can show you an excellent time. You will be hunting milo stubble, wetlands, and CRP Acres. Our fully furnished facility has been newly remodled and can accommodate 8 people. Lodging is available year round. A continental breakfast is always offered, unless you prefer to make your own. The lodge is conveniently located 1 1/2 miles from a well furnished Country Store, and 3/4 mile from St. John's Catholic Church. Our summertime guests can enjoy free fishing at a pond located near the lodge. |

Table Top Hunting Preserve invites you to join us for a day of old fashioned hunting and hospitality where good friends meet for good hunting! Hunting can be enjoyed from September 1st to March 31st on our 1000 acre hunting preserve. Daily bag limit is six birds for $90 which includes a noon lunch. More birds are available upon request. Housing is available in a completely modern farm home by the day, week, month or for vacations. The hunter is responsible for hunting licenses, habitat stamps, guns, ammunition, proper clothing, and transportation to and from the preserve. Non-resident hunters are required to have a $5.50 controlled shooting area permit and $10 habitat stamp, or a non-resident Nebraska hunting license available at the preserve. Nebraska hunters must have Nebraska licenses. Hunting and fishing license are also available. Anyone under 16 years of age must have completed hunter safety. Table Top Hunting Preserve is located along the scenic Pine Ridge in Northwest Nebraska. From Chadron we are located 14 miles south on Highway 385 and 8.5 miles west on Table Road, from Crawford we are 22.5 miles southeast, or from Hemingford we are 20 miles north and 1.5 miles west. |
