Billy Freitag, owner of Little Missouri River Bowhunting & Badlands Guide Service, has been in business now for over 18 years. He has a true passion for hunting and the outdoors and you will experience that when you hunt with his outfit. unt the Pheasant Capital of the world in south central South Dakota and in South Western, North Dakota. Primo pheasant habitat and world renowned wild pheasant hunting! With just over 18 years of experience we provide guided & unguided pheasant hunts in southwestern North Dakota & South Central South Dakota. All of our hunts are free rangewith wild North Dakota roosters. Prior to the spring hatch the pheasant numbers were at phenomenal levels in North Dakota. It wasn't uncommon to see hundreds even upwards of a thousand birds on a small section of land. Heavy spring rains has driven the CRP skyward creating more cover for breeding and survival. Predator Numbers are also nearing bottom levels with the infestation of Mange killing off numbers of Coyotes, fox, raccoons and skunks. Did I mention that the past two winters were at above normal temperatures and below normal snowfallcreating an easy couple of winters with near zero winter kill? Book your hunts early we limit the number of hunters to keep our bird numbers high and unpressured.

| Upland hunts consist of hunting wild flushing pheasants and sharp-tailed grouse in CRP, cropland and native grasses. We hunt with dogs, both flushers and pointers. Whitetail deer hunts consist mainly of spot and stalk methods due mainly to our open terrain. We also use organized drives, and do some stand hunting.
We have modern accommodations which include individual living quarters for each group of 4 or 5, complete with hot showers, and comfortable beds. All of our meals are served in our lodge. This is also where hunters can shoot pool, watch TV, use the telephone, etc. Mariette, our cook is one the finest on earth. She certainly knows how to feed a bunch of hungry hunters, and it is delicious. |
