Our upland bird hunting areas are well managed to produce a lot of native birds. Both the bobwhite quail and blue quail (also called Scaled or Cotton Topped quail) can be found in number. In fact, when the weather conditions are good for reproduction, the numbers can be downright astounding (2003 and 2004 were banner years for Texas quail hunting, and 2005 is shaping up good as well!). We also have excellent suppliers of flight conditioned birds for released bird hunts. Mainly, these are the Chukar and Pheasant we take. Combined with our experienced guides and a kennel full of well trained bird dogs, a quality Texas hunting experience is assured.

| Macho Creek offers Wild Bobwhite Quail, Mourning Dove, and Duck wing-shooting, big-game hunting for Whitetail Bucks, Wild Hogs, Javelinas, Rio Grande Turkey and Alligators, Bass Fishing and Ranch Resort Rentals. The lodge facilities date back to a circa 1876 cowboy bunkhouse. The lodge offers very nice accommodations yet maintains the ambience of a fifth-generation ranch. Approximately 500 acres of the ranch are dedicated to upland bird hunting offering open fields and pastures to produce a memorable shooting experience.
