Looking for eastern Washington pheasant hunting? Game bird hunts is your directory for pheasant hunting Washington.

Washington is fortunate to have a rich diversity of habitats and wildlife including pheasants and other upland game birds.. A large variety of year-round and seasonal outdoor recreational opportunities exists here that have become part of our tradition and heritage in the Pacific Northwest. Each year in Washington thousands of pheasants are released on public lands. The idea behind the release of roosters in eastern Washington is to supplement the harvest. Typically there are plenty of pheasants around on opening weekend so most of the releases will occur periodically over the six weeks or so after the opener. That way there will be more pheasants available throughout the hunting season. Releases will also take place for the youth seasons on some of the sites in late September. In addition to the great public hunting opportunities Washington State also boasts some of the best hunting clubs in the nation. Below is a list of pheasant and upland game preserves for Washington:

Southeastern Washington possesses a wild pheasant population that is consistently the best in the state. The 2001 hatch was great compared to all other areas of the state, but historically was only slightly above average for Garfield County. These wild birds live up to their reputation, both as crafty prey and explosive flyers. The pheasant hunting is outstanding, and we are proud to say this is our primary claim to fame. Deadman Creek Outfitters also maintains property that boasts native populations of Hungarian Partridge, Chukar, and Quail.

Restocked Birds make a great way to train young hunters and pups too! We also have terrain for senior and disabled hunters. If your gundog needs a good workout before the general season, or if you like to keep him "tuned" after upland season closes, our hard flying birds should do the trick. Buy some of our colorful birds released in challenging cover to help fill the game bag and your spirits.
